Bus Transfers To and From Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport

Upon arrival at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, hotel shuttle services, and buses.

The distance from Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport to downtown is about 8 kilometers.

Note that this Airport in Tennessee is relatively tiny with limited transportation options.

For example, Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) is one of the few companies that offer bus services to the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport.

Reservations are required to schedule rides on the dial-a-ride service and must be made at least 30 minutes in advance.

The bus stop shelter is in front of the airport on Airport Road.

Buses at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport

Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority provides services thru Bus No. 19 Cromwell Road bus route, No. 5 North Brainerd.

They will serve the airport with trips starting and ending at the Brainerd Walmart every 30 minutes from 6 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Brainerd Walmart is the connection point for the Bus. No. 4 Eastgate/Hamilton Place bus route where customers can transfer to continue to Downtown Chattanooga or Hamilton Place Mall.

• The 24-Hour Unlimited Ride Pass provides the bearer with 24 hours of unlimited rides upon activation on any CARTA bus.
• The 24-Hour Unlimited Ride Pass is available from the bus driver for $6.00. Keep the card; when it expires, you can recharge it on any bus for $4.00.

7 Day Unlimited Ride Pass, $15.00

• The 7 Day Unlimited Ride Pass provides the bearer with unlimited rides on any CARTA route for seven consecutive days after activation.
• The 7 Day Unlimited Ride Pass is available at the Chattanooga Parking Authority on Market Street next to the Choo Choo and the CARTA administrative office at 1617 Wilcox Boulevard.
• The 7 Day Unlimited Ride Pass can be recharged on the Bus upon expiration with payment of the $15.00 fare.

Reduced 7 Day Unlimited Ride Pass, $7.50

• The Reduced 7 Day Unlimited Ride Pass provides the bearer with unlimited rides on any CARTA route for seven consecutive days after activation. It is eligible for CARTA's reduced fare program.
• The bearer of the Reduced 7 Day Unlimited Ride Pass must present a CARTA Special Fare ID card or a Student Bye Pass card when purchasing and using the pass on the Bus.
• The Reduced 7 Day Unlimited Ride Pass is available at the Chattanooga Parking Authority on Market Street next to the Choo Choo and the CARTA administrative office at 1617 Wilcox Boulevard.
• The Reduced 7 Day Unlimited Ride Pass can be recharged on the Bus upon expiration with payment of the $7.50 fare.

31 Day Unlimited Ride Pass, $50.00

• The 31-Day Unlimited Ride Pass provides the bearer with unlimited rides on any CARTA route for 31 consecutive days after activation.
• The 31 Day Unlimited Ride Pass is available at the following branches of First Bank: 319 Manufacturers Road, 1959 Northpoint Blvd., 7442 Shallowford Road, at the Chattanooga Parking Authority on Market Street next to the Choo Choo, and the CARTA administrative office at 1617 Wilcox Boulevard.
• The 31 Day Unlimited Ride Pass can be recharged on the Bus upon expiration with payment of the $50.00 fare.

Reduced 31 Day Unlimited Ride Pass, $25.00

• The Reduced 31 Day Unlimited Ride Pass provides the bearer with unlimited rides on any CARTA route for 31 consecutive days after activation. It is eligible for CARTA's reduced fare program.
• The bearer of the Reduced 31 Day Unlimited Ride Pass must present a CARTA Special Fare ID card or a Student Bye Pass card when purchasing and using the pass on the Bus.
